- Valikoimattomasta dyspepsiapotilasaineistosta tehtyjä tutkimuksia on vain muutamia eikä osassa niistä ole voitu osoittaa testauksesta olevan kliinisessä hoitoratkaisussa merkittävää hyötyä (ks. näytönastekatsaus "Seerumin biomarkkerien käyttö ylävatsavaivaisen potilaan lääkehoidon suunnittelussa" «Seerumin biomarkkereilla ei liene merkitystä dyspepsiapotilaan lääkehoidon suunnittelussa.»C).
- Valikoimattomien dyspepsiapotilaiden biomarkkeriseulonnan kustannushyödystä ei ole toistaiseksi riittävästi tietoa.
